Colombo International School posted an easy 62-22 victory over Ananda College,Colombo in the All Island Under 19 Basketball tournament Group A match played at the Colombo International School Basketball court yesterday.

At half time, CIS was leading by 36 points while Ananda College only managed to get 04 points.

Ananda College did not get an opportunity to make a comeback in to the game as CIS maintained their momentum right up to the end. Virosh Dharmadasa scored 16 points for CIS while Chamara Punchihewa chipped in with 05 points for Ananda College.

Forty three schools in five groups are competing in the tournament. The first round matches will be played on a league basis and the second round will be played among the two best teams from each group. The top two teams will be selected according to points they score.

Asian International School will meet Nalanda College at A.I.S. courts at 3.00p.m on July 23 (today) while St. Joseph’s College will meet Amal International School at the same venue at 4.30p.m.
