Lecture on Fluorescent Sensors
Professor M. Dyal P. de Costa, recently appointed Visiting Professor in Chemistry in the College of Chemical Sciences (CCS) will deliver the third Inaugural Professorial Lecture of the College on Friday 24th July at 4 p.m. at the PPGL Siriwardena Auditorium at Adamantane House, 341/22, Kotte Road, Welikada, Rajagiriya. The lecture will be on the topic ‘Fluorescent Sensors’, an area in which Professor Costa has conducted research for many years.
Professor J. N. Oleap Fernando, Honourary Dean of the College, which is the educational arm of the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon, states in a media release that this invaluable lecture to which professionals, chemists and students are cordially invited will be followed by the launch of the first issue of the new series of CCS PUBLICATIONS on "Functional group Analysis in Organic Chemistry" authored by two senior Professors, S. Sotheeswaran & Leslie Gunathilake.
