The officers of the Road Development Authority Galle, were in an embarrassing position as they failed to provide the accurate figures and details when Senior Presidential Advisor Basil Rajapaksa visited the institute to assess the progress made by them.

They were unable to provide the proper figures on how much funds the Authority required and how much has been already spent.

Southern Provincial Councillor Muthhettigama said the road development projects in Pinnaduwa, Pilana, Owilana, Jayanni areas have been abandoned as contractors had not been paid their dues.
