Mr. Mahen Dayananda, former Chairman of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, has been appointed to the board of directors of Delmege Teas (Pvt.) Ltd.
A highly respected tea trader who long ran Tea Tang, a B.P. de Silva group company, of which he was founder Managing Director and later Chairman, Dayananda has been Chairman of Lewis Brown and Co. (Pvt) Ltd., the holding company of the Delmege Forsyth Group, since 2001.
He was Chairman of the Colombo Tea Traders Association for three years and was Chairman of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce from 2006-2008.
The directors of Delmege Teas are : Messrs. F.G.N. Mendis, Chairman, C. N. S. Mendis (MD), Mahen Dayananda, L D E A de Silva, G A Kumarage and D.A. Wijesekera.
