The Wennappuwa police fired on three suspected members of a robber gang yesterday (14) at Nainamadama, when they were getting away on a motorcycle defying police orders to stop. One suspect, injured by police fire, was arrested later with two shotguns and a ‘Rambo’ knife in his possession, police said.

The other two suspects had got away and the police said they would be arrested shortly.
