Kandy AFL beat Gampola FL by three goals to nil
in their Senior Inter-League football match played at the
                Weegulawatha Ground, Gampola on Sunday.
In this game the Kandy footballers, who fielded
a young talanted side, completely outpalyed the opponents in
every department of the game by displaying a superb run and pass
game of football. The winners led 1-0 at the breather.
The scoreboard should have read 5-0. Two of the
goals scored by Kandy were spoted off side by the touchjudge.
Mohamed Riyas netted two goals and one came from
L.M. Kumara. A big hand should be given to the Kandy AFL coach
                S.A. Weerasinge.
Kandy is now qualified to meet the Government
Services side in the semifinals which will be played in Kandy.
