KURUNEGALA: If the North Western Provincial
Ministry of Land, Agriculture and Animal Products will be able
to do what it is now saying, then there will be around 15,000
jobs available in the province.
According to an explanation by a ministry
source, steps are being taken to create self-employment projects
with the participation of the public.
Vegetable gardens, herbal medicine cultivation,
ornamental flower nurseries and cereals and spiciest production
are being proposed for the project.
Prospective self-employment seekers of Alavva,
Anamaduva, Ibbagamuwa, Galgamuva, Ganevatta, Giribava,
Karuvalagasveva, Katupota, Mahava, Mavatagama, Narammala,
Navagattegama, Polpitigama and Ridigama areas could contact the
ministry office in Kurunegala for further information.
