Minister of Small and Rural Industries K.D.Lal Kantha has complained to IGP Chandra Fernando that a person had impersonated him, during a live debate over a TV channel and severely criticized JVP Secretary Tilvin Silva over the telephone.

The debate ‘Thulawa’ that was telecast last Saturday (5) had this caller who pretended to be Lal Kantha, while the actual Lal Kantha was on a tour of the tsunami affected communities in the Eastern Province, the Minister has told the IGP in his compliant.

The ITN TV station has also made a complaint to the police regarding the caller who had spoken to the moderator of the programme Sudharman Radaliyagoda.
